Meet the Team
Our team has three levels of membership: "Competing", "Non-Competing", and "Unmounted".
"Competing members" have a horse represent VT at recognized events. "Non-competing members" have a horse but don't compete at recognized events. "Unmounted members" don't have a horse or don't actively ride.

There are many opportunities throughout the semesters for our all of our members to participate in mounted and unmounted activities.

The Executive Board
The executive board for the team plays a critical role in planning and executing the meetings and activities for the entire team. For the 2022-2023 year the elected executive board consists of Emma Oldenburg, President; Mandolin Whitten, Vice President; Rose Schild, Treasurer; Sarah Bernat, Secretary; Arijana Reskusic, Apparel Chair.

Team Coach
EVT celebrating an Intercollegiate Challenge win at the Virginia Horse Center Eventing Horse Trials in November of 2023.
In the Fall of 2023, EVT welcomed Mark Combs as team coach! This has given our members the opportunity to take team lessons and get coaching at events.
"Mark Combs is former upper level event rider who has competed at many of the world's top 3-Day Events, including Badminton. In 1992, he was Eventing's ASHA (USEF) Young Rider of the Year. He won the USET Markham Trophy two years in a row ('91 &'92), and in 1993, the USET awarded Mark the prestigious Lionel-Guerrand Hermes Trophy. Mark is also a graduate A Pony Clubber".
He now mostly works with horses and riders of all levels to meet their competitive goals!
