Virginia Horse Trials
Lexington, VA
October 30-November 1, 2020
We had a great turnout this weekend at the Virginia Horse Trials. Mandolin Whitten and Mudville (top left) competed in the Junior Prelim division to finish on her dressage score and bring home 3rd! Alumni Caitlin Reamy and My Sunday Best won the Open Beginner Novice A division, also ending on their dressage score! Alumni MacKenzie Krason and Piper also competed in the Beginner Novice A division to end in 9th! Ashley Kapinos (top right) got the ride on Abigail Winfree's horse, High Tech, in the Novice division. Taylor Miller got the ride on Blake Vidunas's horse, Times Square, (middle left) however decided to retire on XC when it was made apparent it was not their day . Alumni Christine Ayala and MAC in Vegas (middle right) had a strong start in the Open Training division, but decided to retire on cross country due to the less than ideal footing. We are so proud of the horsemanship our riders displayed and we would like to thank the countless volunteers that were able to make this event happen. Go Hokies!
